How does BuildVu handle annotations and forms?

Annotations

BuildVu has support for interactive annotations such as Links, Widgets, and Popups. RichMedia, Movie, Video & Sound annotations are supported provided they use an HTML5 compatible media format.

BuildVu can also display nearly all annotation types including Text, FreeText, Line, Square, Circle, Polygon, PolyLine, Highlight, Underline, Squiggly, Strikeout, Stamp and Caret & Ink.

Editing & resaving annotations are not currently supported. Displaying of complex annotation types such as 3D are also not currently supported.

Forms

BuildVu does not support interactive forms. AcroForms are flattened and XFA forms will display the fallback content instead.

If you require interactive, fillable forms then we recommend you try out FormVu. FormVu makes PDF AcroForm and XFA forms usable in the web browser, allowing the gathering and submission of PDF Form data online. Form data can either be saved back into the PDF or submitted to a server for processing.
