August 2017 Release Notes

The next release is on Tuesday 5th September 2017

Summary:

  • Memory usage improvments for handling JPEG and CMYK to RGB Conversions
  • All IE8 Features have now been removed
  • Fixed Issue with TrueType hinting having to use special code
  • General bug fixes and improvements

August Release (1st August 2017):

Enhancements

  • [HTML-2886] – Improve memory use for JPEG handling
    We have lowered memory consumption in JPEG handling on larger files.

  • [HTML-2887] – Improve memory use in cmyk to rgb conversion
    We have decreased memory usage when converting CMYK to RGB.

  • [CORE-2869] – Issue with TrueType hinting requiring special code to handle twilight zone
